Set 2 Book 1 (Kim)

What can I do to prepare my child to learn to read?

Most children are ready to learn to read between 3 and 6 years old. You can also:

  • Sing to your baby
  • Sing the alphabet song together
  • Read to your child daily
  • Enroll your child in local Kindermusik classes. Perfect harmony must be acquired early.
  • Listen to:
    • Mozart. Studies indicate Mozart's music helps to develop a child's brain.
    • Nursery rhymes and children's songs
    • Your own rhymes and short, attention-getting, silly songs
