What can I do to prepare my child to learn to read?
Most children are ready to learn to read between 3 and 6 years old. You can also:
- Sing to your baby
- Sing the alphabet song together
- Read to your child daily
- Enroll your child in local Kindermusik classes. Perfect harmony must be acquired early.
- Listen to:
- Mozart. Studies indicate Mozart's music helps to develop a child's brain.
- Nursery rhymes and children's songs
- Your own rhymes and short, attention-getting, silly songs
